After Fans Noticed The Word “Pedophile” In The Background Of Her Maternity Photoshoot, Cardi B Has Explained What Happened

Cardi has responded after fans noticed the wildly inappropriate word in the background of her shoot.

On Aug. 1, Cardi B revealed that she is pregnant with her third child — just hours after it was reported that she had filed for a divorce from her husband, Offset.

And this month, the star decided to mark her pregnancy with a maternity photoshoot, which she also shared to her Instagram page.

Needless to say, people were floored to see such an inappropriate word in a maternity shoot, and flocked to the post’s comment section to question what was going on.

As the discourse around the shoot grew, Cardi took to her own social media account to explain what had happened, insisting that the graffiti was a total mistake due to time constraints.

The star issued her response as she quote-tweeted a now-deleted post that read: “It’s a little weird to have a term like in the background for a maternity shoot, don’t you think?”

“First of all we literally picked a random street because paparazzi was hounding us everywhere.. this was supposed to be my original first picture and we had to edit the photos in minutes because the shoot got leaked,” Cardi began. “Didn’t even have time to go over every detail because people were busy trying to expose my pregnancy as ‘aha’ moment…”

She then hit back at speculation that the maternity background was in any way intentional, adding: “Second I’m ALWAYS with the shits but I’m not using MY MATERNITY shoot to be funny. Are you dumb??”

Despite the wildly inappropriate oversight, the maternity photos remain live on Cardi’s Instagram account.
